What do you love about being a speech therapist?
 
 I love working with children and adults from all over the state of Colorado and getting to know people outside of the Denver area where I live. People in rural areas have more of an opportunity to get the help they need without traveling and that feels good.

Describe the most recent accomplishment with a client that you are particularly proud of.

A mom told me that extended family members had noticed a big improvement in her son’s ability to express himself during conversations. That felt great because it was such a functional improvement that meant something to the whole family.

What do you like about being a Better Speech SLP?

Tell us something about yourself that is not well known.

I started my SLP career in early childhood intervention where we did a lot of parent coaching in homes and that’s what made me enjoy working directly with families and including them in the whole process.
