Speech therapists at Better Speech are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited speech language pathologists (CCC-SLP). All of them have a Masters Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. While their experience, expertise and background vary, they all possess on average 10 years of experience.

After you sign up, we will match you to an available speech therapist who fits your objectives, preferences, and the type of issues you or your child present with. Different speech therapists have different approaches and areas of focus, so it's important to find the right person who can achieve the best results for you or your loved one. We have found that we are able to provide a successful match most of the time; however, if you start the process and you feel your therapist isn't a good fit for you, you may elect to be matched to a different therapist.

Speech therapy online with us may be right for you if you're looking to make progress with your child's speech or language skills quickly, conveniently and most importantly effectively. Our approach to speech therapy is one in which parents are fully involved. And that makes all of the difference with a child's engagement, progress towards their speech-lanugage goals and achieving success. We have speech therapists who are specialized in specific issues, such as early intervention, language delay for toddlers, speech and articulation, parent coaching, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, learning disorders and more.

You get speech therapy by video conferencing with your therapist. Sessions are available to you via Zoom (see their technical specs here) and you just use your laptop, tablet or smart phone to have your video session. We've never had a client that said getting online was difficult. Our therapists will send you a link to their private online meeting room. Just launch it and go!

Online speech therapy has been proven effective by over 40 academic studies and, in some cases, even better than in-person treatment. For example, people with anxiety or sensory issues are oftentimes more relaxed and focused with online instruction provided in the comfort of their own home. It may be more appropriate for your family as scheduling is easier sessions are available at more convenient times. This decreases the frequency of missed sessions and progress is made faster. Speech therapy for seniors who might have a difficult time getting to sessions also provides access to care they wouldn't otherwise get. Online speech therapy also allows those with difficulty accessing quality services in their community to have a speech therapist available to them at home. Online speech therapy is also great for families that don't want to wait for a speech therapist to become available. At Better Speech we have a Parent Coaching program where parents learn to use strategies to improve their child's communication while working with a speech therapist online.

We have years of experience treating a variety of populations and age ranges from babies and toddlers to teens and adults. ​ Our therapists have experience with toddlers who are late talkers or speech-language delayed, preschoolers who need speech or articulation therapy, school aged kids who need help wth phonological awareness, reading, articulation, language skills and stuttering. Our therapists are also specialized in working with people after a stroke who have aphasia (language difficulties). ​ We cover a broad range or speech or language issues and ages.
