Updated: Aug 25

We love our Better Speech Therapists! So we want to let the whole world know about them.
This month we are recognizing:
Erica Krzyzanowski, CCC/SLP
Colorado Licensed and ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist
What do you love about being a speech therapist?
I love working with children and adults from all over the state of Colorado and getting to know people outside of the Denver area where I live. People in rural areas have more of an opportunity to get the help they need without traveling and that feels good.
Describe the most recent accomplishment with a client that you are particularly proud of.
A mom told me that extended family members had noticed a big improvement in her son’s ability to express himself during conversations. That felt great because it was such a functional improvement that meant something to the whole family.

Tell us something about yourself that is not well known.
I started my SLP career in early childhood intervention where we did a lot of parent coaching in homes and that’s what made me enjoy working directly with families and including them in the whole process.

Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifications does a Better Speech therapist of the month have?
Better Speech therapists are licensed, credentialed speech-language pathologists with specialized training in a range of communication disorders. Our therapist of the month is recognized for outstanding client outcomes, compassionate care, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. Every Better Speech therapist goes through a rigorous vetting process before joining the platform.
How does Better Speech choose its therapist of the month?
The therapist of the month is selected based on client progress, satisfaction feedback, consistency of care, and dedication to personalized therapy plans. Our clinical team reviews therapist performance regularly to highlight those who go above and beyond for their clients. It is our way of celebrating the hard work that happens in every online session.
Can my child work with a specific therapist at Better Speech?
Yes, Better Speech allows families to request a specific therapist once they have been matched. After an initial consultation, you can discuss your child's needs and preferences to find the best fit. If your child connects well with a particular therapist, you can continue working with that person consistently throughout their progress.
Does Better Speech accept insurance for speech therapy sessions?
Better Speech offers licensed, insurance-ready care with no waitlists, making it easier than ever for families and adults to access help quickly. Many major insurance plans are accepted, and our team can help verify your benefits before your first session. This means less time navigating paperwork and more time focused on communication goals.
How quickly can we start speech therapy after signing up with Better Speech?
Most clients are matched with a therapist and can schedule their first session within just a few days of signing up. Better Speech was built to remove the long delays that often come with finding in-person care. Once you complete a brief intake process, your therapist will design a personalized plan tailored to your specific communication needs.
